The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was taken subsequent to an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.
The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
